“Just Older Youth” Bible study is an excellent opportunity for older adults to unite for fellowship and spiritual growth. This group is led by Pastor Doug Runyan and Scott Shriver, who meet weekly to study and discuss scripture. They are currently studying the New Testament.
The atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive, and visitors are always welcome to attend. In addition to studying the Bible, they gather for lunch on the last Tuesday of every month (members chip in $6).
Overall, a retirement Bible study is a great way for seniors to stay connected with their faith and with one another as they navigate this new chapter of life.
Partnership with Ashton Commons
Our church is excited to partner with Ashton Commons, fostering a meaningful connection between our congregation and the senior residents. This partnership allows us to extend our mission of IMPACT beyond our church walls. Through this partnership, we sometimes host our Tuesday JOY group, help out at Ashton events, or have a Vacation Bible School camp for the residents. Every stage of life has value and purpose, and we are honored to support and celebrate the seniors in our community.
