I. Dead to sin, means that when Christ died, believers died to sin with him
– Dead to sin means separation and no more power over you
II. Old self = pre-Christian self, now crucified, dead, and gone
III. Our spiritual battle is now with the body of sin, but we are free to devote our bodies to the Lord.
IV. We also are raised with Christ – present reality with future implications
V. Purpose of Christ and his deliverance is that we live a new life now
VI. Freedom to live in purity
