I did not grow up a believer. In fact, I rebuffed attempts at evangelism in high school and college. Any involvement in youth group or church was intended for purposes other than drawing closer to God. The late 90s found me in my forties, divorced, with no real plan for my life. Fortunately, God is gracious and sent to me my wife, Mary, who patiently and gently guided me on the path to accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior. I know that I am a sinner, undeserving of this gift from God. But with my family’s and other believers’ support, I hope to be the faithful man God wants me to be rather than the person I was before.
