Beginnings
North Park Church began in 1981 when the congregation of Mellwood Presbyterian Church voted to leave the Presbyterian Church in the USA in response to church decisions that compromised the core message of Scripture.
Denominational Change
Senior pastor, Jim Morrison, led the church into a brand new denomination – the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Leaving the old denomination meant leaving behind the building. But within a year the property near North Park had been obtained and the church began anew under a new name.
